Umpire Score Reporting for Softball Leagues
With Softball.love, umpires report the final score of a softball game from their phone using your league's code, with no account and nothing to download. Regular-season scores post to the schedule and the standings update immediately, so nobody has to collect results the next morning.
How it works#
- The commissioner gives the umpires the league's umpire code.
- After the game, the umpire opens the score page on their phone and enters the code.
- They pick the game from the list of recent games and enter the final.
- The score appears on the league site, and standings and tiebreakers recalculate.
There's nothing to install and no password to forget. An umpire can fix a typo in the score they just entered.
The commissioner stays in charge#
Umpire-reported scores are listed in the league admin with their history. Commissioners can enter any result themselves from the schedule editor and correct any score at any time, so a disputed result never waits on an umpire.
Why it beats texting the commissioner#
When scores come in by text, the standings are only as current as the commissioner's evening. Umpire reporting puts the result in the standings while teams are still in the parking lot, and the team pages and league site all show the same number.
Standings that follow your rules#
Standings apply your league's tiebreaker order, chosen from win percentage, head-to-head, fewest runs allowed, run differential and runs scored. See our guide to standings tiebreakers.
