Softball League Scheduling

Softball.love's schedule editor lets a commissioner build the season week by week, or import it from a spreadsheet, across every division. Bye weeks, makeup weeks and rainouts are built in, and players and captains subscribe to a calendar that updates whenever a game moves.

Two ways in#

  • Build it in the editor. Add each week's games with teams, field and time. Weeks are calendar weeks, so "Week 3" is always the third week you play.
  • Import a spreadsheet. Upload a CSV or Excel file and map its columns. If a team name in the file doesn't match one in your league, you choose: create the team, map it to an existing one, or rename the existing team to match.

Either way, one schedule feeds the league website, every team's page, and every calendar.

Byes, holds and rainouts#

  • Bye weeks for a team, or a whole-league week off for a holiday.
  • Makeup holds reserve a week for rained-out games before you know which ones.
  • Analyze Schedule finds teams with uneven gaps between byes.
  • Move a week's date and every game and hold that week moves with it, with later weeks pushed back if they'd collide.
  • Cancel a game and it reads struck out on the website, team pages and calendars, so nobody misses the change.

Calendars that keep up#

The league publishes a calendar feed of its whole schedule, and each team's players can subscribe to theirs in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook. When you change the schedule, their calendars change too: no re-sending a PDF.

Where results go#

Scores entered by umpires or by you land on the same games, and standings update from them. Need help planning? Our guide to round-robin schedules works out the games and weeks for any number of teams.
